Caring for the elderly has always been a passion for Alexis. She started working over seven years ago at Select Home Care Portland. Alexis began her journey with the company as a caregiver, providing assistance to clients in various aspects of care. This ranged from companionship and personal care, to addressing the unique needs of individuals with Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and those in hospice end-of-life care.
With a strong interest in learning and helping others, Alexis quickly excelled in her role. After just a year and a half, she was invited to join the office admin team, where she has since gained invaluable experience working alongside the administrator Jamie. Alexis has honed her skills in schedule management, proactive customer service, and problem-solving.
Today, she relishes the opportunity to support her peers and clients “behind the scenes” as a Client Care Coordinator and caregiver. Alexis appreciates the flexibility and understanding that Select Home Care Portland offers, allowing her to continue working in the dual roles she is so passionate about.
